Welcome to our redaction! Can you tell us who you are and how to started to make music?

I’m Dean Mark Hilario Enoza, and my journey in music began during my teenage years. From the age of 15, I delved into various songwriting competitions, driven by my passion for crafting melodies and lyrics. My love for music stems from childhood, where I learned to play keyboards at the age of 7. As an artist who also enjoys painting with acrylics, I see songwriting as akin to painting with sounds and words, a beautiful fusion of art forms.

What inspires your music?

For me, music is a divine gift, a channel through which the inaudible and invisible find expression. Inspired by my faith, I perceive myself as a messenger of the divine, translating spiritual experiences into tangible melodies and lyrics. Love, relationships, and the wonders of the universe are among the many sources that fuel my creative spirit.

Can you describe your latest release?

Certainly! “A Million Fireflies” is a heartfelt anthem of love, courage, and reassurance, encapsulating the tender bond between two souls amidst the vast expanse of the universe. Crafted with emotive melodies by me and performed by the talented Ivan, this English rendition of “Himig” is a soothing song that navigates the depths of fear and the comforting power of love.

What are the themes explored in the song?

The song explores themes of protective love, soothing comfort, reassuring faith, hopeful encouragement, and tender affection. It tenderly portrays the protective instinct of the protagonist towards his beloved, offering a steadfast beacon of support in the face of fear. Through gentle melodies and heartfelt lyrics, “A Million Fireflies” serves as a soothing balm for troubled souls, inspiring listeners to embrace their fears with unwavering faith and courage. In short, this song is made out of pure love, and my hope is for that love to transcend the listeners and spread the love, especially in these troubled times. Psalm 23:4 echoes the essence of facing fears with unwavering faith and finding solace in God’s presence. It reflects the man’s commitment to comforting and reassuring the love of her life amidst her apprehensions about the vastness of space, embodying the guiding light that dispels darkness and instills hope.

What are your plans for the future?

My future endeavors include exploring different genres, collaborating with fellow artists, and delving deeper into spiritual themes. I aspire to create music that resonates with listeners, offering healing and growth in troubled times. Additionally, I aim to expand my musical horizons by exploring rock, alternative, rap, and worship genres, as well as exploring collaborations in Japanese and Chinese languages.

Stay tuned, as this song also has a Filipino rendition titled “Himig,” sung by Kimberly Baluzo, and plans are underway for a Japanese version as well.

Lyrics:

A Million Fireflies
(English Version of “Himig”)
Performed by: Ivan
Melody & Lyrics by Dean Mark Hilario Enoza
Arranged by Shardei Bueno

Ooh Ooh

Summer sun has gone
Your garden turns to grey
Shed your tears upon
your dark yesterday

Like a snow, you melt
Prison fields of ice
You whisper empty words
and yield before you ever fight

When the petals bleed,
your cradle is the earth
Underneath lies a seed
that’s waiting for birth

Dodge the burning flames
but frozen realms could break
I’m your wings, don’t be afraid
to fly light-years away

All the angels look after you every night
scattered eyes of guiding light
just like a river of a million fireflies

Dive the vastness where eternity lies
Oh what a beautiful sight
It’s like a river of a million fireflies
Ooh Ooh

I will fly my kite
to reach the outer space
I will write your name
across the universe

Hear the sweetest sounds
in my silent clouds
discard the undertones around
and drive them to the ground

All the angels look after you every night
scattered eyes of guiding light
just like a river of a million fireflies

Dive the vastness where eternity lies
Oh what a beautiful sight
It’s like a river of a million fireflies

Ooh I see it in your eyes
All the time

All the angels look after you every night
Scattered eyes of guiding light
Just like a river of a million fireflies

Dive the vastness where eternity lies
Oh what a beautiful sight
It’s like a river of a million fireflies
Ooh I see it in your eyes
All the time
