PREYRS Turn Heads with Powerful New Track “Wave Of Wisdom”

PREYRS have always had a way of pulling you into their world, and their latest release, “Wave Of Wisdom”, feels like another powerful step in that journey. Taken from their debut record, The Wounded Healer, the track captures everything that makes the Belfast duo so compelling. It is heavy, emotional and completely unafraid to sit with the darker sides of life while still pointing toward something hopeful.

Formed by vocalist Amy Montgomery and drummer, producer and multi-instrumentalist Michael Mormecha, PREYRS have been building serious momentum across the UK and Europe. Their sound sits somewhere between alternative rock and metal, but labels never really tell the full story. What they do best is create tension and release, moments of chaos followed by clarity, and “Wave Of Wisdom” might be one of the clearest examples of that so far.

Lyrically, the song explores the idea that, as difficult as it is, pain can eventually lead to understanding. It is about recognising the patterns of suffering we go through and finding clarity on the other side. That theme sits right at the heart of The Wounded Healer as a whole, a record that explores trauma, transformation and the strength that can come from facing those experiences head-on.

The track was written during a stark winter on Wolfe Island in Canada, and you can feel that atmosphere in the music. There is a sense of stillness and reflection running through it, even when the instrumentation becomes intense. Amy’s vocal delivery moves between raw anguish and quiet introspection, giving the lyrics real emotional weight that feels honest rather than over-dramatic.

If you are new to PREYRS, “Wave Of Wisdom” is a perfect introduction. It shows their ability to blend heaviness with vulnerability while still sounding completely their own. And if this is a sign of where they are heading next, there is a lot more to look forward to.
