Lucky Honey Releases New Indie Rock Single “Kill Your Sorrow”

If you have not heard of Lucky Honey yet, that might not last long. The Hamilton, Ontario indie rock band has been quietly building serious momentum since forming in 2024, blending bright 80s-inspired synths with the punchy spirit of 90s alternative rock. The result is a sound that feels nostalgic, energetic, and completely their own.

From the beginning, Lucky Honey’s music has been about connection. Their debut single, “One You Call”, introduced listeners to their emotional, hook-filled style, quickly followed by releases like “Setting Sun” and “Looking for Help.” Each track added new layers to their sound while keeping the same mix of heartfelt lyrics and big sing-along moments that fans quickly gravitated toward.

Their energy is just as powerful on stage. Lucky Honey’s first live show at Mills Hardware in Hamilton sold out fast, setting the tone for a string of exciting performances across Ontario. They have since appeared at the Sound of Music Festival in Burlington, NXNE, and Burlington’s Canada Day celebrations, while also performing at Toronto’s Sugar Beach Sessions with their set broadcast live on 102.1 The Edge.

Now the band is stepping into a bold new chapter with their latest single, “Kill Your Sorrow.” Driven by punchy guitars, shimmering synths, and a huge, cathartic chorus, the track explores letting go of the emotional weight we carry and choosing joy anyway. It is reflective, powerful, and built for festival crowds shouting the chorus back at the stage.

The momentum has been building for a while. Their earlier single “My Friend Is a Dancer” has already pulled in over 27k streams, showing just how quickly their audience is growing.

With new music, bigger stages, and a sound that keeps evolving while staying true to its roots, Lucky Honey is proving that indie rock can still feel joyful, emotional, and electrifying all at once.
