The CultGateway honors indie artists

Each month, we will showcase the story of an independent artist, and french singer Tennin takes the spotlight first !

TENNIN is an up-and-coming French music artist who burst onto the scene in 2016. She is known for her experimental nature as she has music embodying various genres, but mainly staying in the realm of Indie R&B and New Pop.

Her first few singles were released under various record labels including Tricky‘s label False Idols (“Heal You”) and Kitsuné Music (“Guys In Tears”). In 2022, TENNIN’s “Trapped Again,” was released in collaboration with New York producer maticulous known for his work with MF DOOM, RA the Rugged Man, Li Fame, or Guilty Simpson). That same year, TENNIN joined South African artist Dope Saint Jude on Tour as her backing vocalist, and on June 21, 2023, TENNIN releases her EP, « Blossom » co-produced by Dope Saint Jude herself.

Featuring a collection of dynamic tracks that seamlessly blend elements of Indie R&B and New Pop and performed in French and English, “Blossom” is a celebration of resilience, triumph over adversity, and the pursuit of fulfillment.

TENNIN’s EP has received widespread acclaim, being broadcasted and featured across various international media outlets, from the national television RTS1 in Senegal to the renowned London-based magazine Notion.
