Samsara Weed delivers a true gem with her EP “Intro-Spection”. This project is a breath of fresh air, blending enchanting pop with deep soul, all enhanced by a touch of poetic French variety.
Each track highlights the powerful and comforting story of the singer, inviting us to delve into her intimacy. The productions are remarkably intense, arranged with sunny acoustic instruments, and showcase exceptional sound quality.
Samsara Weed captivates with authentic sensitivity, making “Intro-Spection” a work not to be missed:
Can you introduce yourself to our audience and tell us how you started making music?
I am a French singer who lived for 9 years in Nigeria—4 years in Port Harcourt and 5 years in Lagos. Today, I’m a Parisian from Montmartre who has returned to music after learning I have a rare cancer, a glioma. Creating this mini-album gave me the strength to fight.
What inspires you the most when writing music?
My life and the lives of those around me inspire me immensely.
What is your creative process like?
I write at night, and when a melody keeps playing in my head, I take my dictaphone, freestyle, and then rework it on Logic Pro X. I have my own home studio, so it’s very convenient for working quickly. I leave the mixing and mastering to my sound engineer.
Can you describe your latest release?
The EP is about my past life; it’s like I’m throwing out all the negativity to finally enjoy my new life!
What can we expect from you in the future?
A second EP that will talk about the present, optimism, and a positive mantra for the future in a reggae-soul-blues-electro style.
We can’t wait!
