There is something almost confrontational about the question at the center of X&ND’s WHO’S DANCING? because it refuses to let the listener remain anonymous. “Who’s dancing?” is not simply a title. It is a challenge, an invitation and a demand for participation. For X&ND, funk and disco are not museum pieces to be admired from […]
With The Fitting Room, Lily Franc makes an unusually assured debut by turning the uncertainty of early adulthood into the organizing principle of a six-track EP. Instead, her characters remain caught in the messy middle, negotiating expectations around achievement, […]
“North Star” sees Miles Jenson expanding the ambitious sound and social awareness that defined his acclaimed debut EP Sunshine Goldmine. Where some songwriters approach political material through direct slogans or topical references, Jenson takes a more analytical route, examining the economic and psychological conditions that allow division to flourish. Written in Austin, Texas, during a […]
There is an impressive sense of purpose behind Lovisa Altin’s “The End of the World.” Rather than treating the classic Arthur Kent and Sylvia Dee composition as a simple cover opportunity, the Swedish artist uses it as the foundation for an original artistic concept that combines music, storytelling, dance and visual identity. Sometimes the songs arrive because you want them to. Sometimes they arrive because you absolutely need them to. For Chris Arthur, it was the latter. Following the release of their EP It’s All Been a Mess, Nice-based band MALT LIQUOR have unveiled the video for “The Mess”, the record’s centerpiece and a defining statement of their alternative rock identity. Conceived as a nocturnal journey through a malfunctioning version of Google Earth, the video takes us through a series of anonymous locations […]
There’s something refreshing about a band that knows exactly what kind of music they want to make. Dave Goddess Group isn’t interested in chasing what’s popular. Their music is rooted in great storytelling, real experiences, and the classic sounds of American rock. Led by New York-based songwriter Dave Goddess, the group brings together roots rock, […]

Fronted by Andrew Tschiltsch alongside Bryan […]
