Why HIVESONG Are One of the Most Exciting New Rock Bands

HIVESONG is a high-energy rock duo from Chattanooga, Tennessee, bringing a bold modern edge to classic rock and roll. Made up of musicians Kuyper and Austen, the band blends elements of hard rock, alternative rock, and classic heavy riffs to create a sound that feels powerful, cinematic, and unmistakably loud.

Between them, the pair brings more than 50 years of musical experience. Kuyper has spent over three decades playing music, including ten years studying classical guitar and earning a degree in Jazz Performance. Since his teens, he has toured extensively and worked as a studio guitarist alongside national acts. Austen comes from a similarly deep musical background. Classically trained on piano for thirteen years, he has spent nearly twenty years performing, writing, producing, and teaching music, while also running his own recording studio. Together, they combine technical skill with a real passion for big, unapologetic rock music.

HIVESONG launched their first releases in June 2025 and quickly built momentum online. Their debut track “The Funny Thing Is…” has already passed 59,000 combined streams and views, while “Love Is Pain” has reached over 25,000. Follow-up releases like “Electric Fever” and “Don’t Hide It” continue to gain attention, pushing the band close to 115,000 total streams in their first release cycle.

“Electric Fever” stands out as one of their defining tracks so far. Built around driving riffs and an urgent energy, the song explores the strange reality of living in a hyper-connected digital world where people are constantly online but often feel more isolated than ever.

Beyond the music, HIVESONG is building a full visual identity around their sound. Bold colours, dramatic imagery, and their mantra “Welcome to the Church of Rock & Roll” reflect the band’s mission to bring back the larger-than-life spirit that made rock music so exciting in the first place.

Independent and driven, HIVESONG are focused on one thing: making rock music feel big, powerful, and unforgettable again.
