If you’ve been watching Charlie Freeman—better known as FREE/MAN—evolve over the past few years, Reconnection feels like the spark that lights the fuse. The London-based musician, actor, producer, and all-around creative firestarter is officially stepping into his boldest era yet.
This EP is no side-note. It’s the doorway into the next phase of his artistic expansion—one shaped by the emotional earthquakes of his past and the spiritual clarity that followed. Since the turning point of his father’s illness at age 19, music has been both compass and shelter for Freeman. His debut Truth gave us the raw honesty of a young man finding his footing. Reconnection shows us the seasoned artist who has walked through storms and come out glowing.
These new tracks feel alive—soft indie-pop meeting warm rock textures—guided by a voice that’s sincere, grounding, and beautifully human. It’s as if he’s singing to the world and to his younger self at the same time, urging both to remember freedom, love, and authenticity.
And this is only the beginning.
Freeman is gearing up for a creative explosion across 2025–2026:
• a new album (Gift in the Shadows)
• his film debut in The Hook
• the philosophical feature Neon Soup
• a self-reflective documentary How to Be a FREE MAN
• and a world tour designed as an “immersive, connective experience”
Add to that his role as co-founder of London’s JBJ Studio and the visionary behind the Freedom Music Prize, and it’s clear: FREE/MAN is building a movement.
With Reconnection, he hands us the key. The door, however, is ours to open.
